Here’s a useless bit of trivia: Starbucks Coffee, which was started up by an English teacher, a history teacher and a writer was going to be called Pequod Coffee after the ship in Moby Dick. It got changed to Starbuck’s (the name of the first mate on board The Pequod) at the last minute. Why they wanted to name their coffee shop business after something from a book about how revenge leads to everyones death, I don’t know.
